So I've been reading the book Darth Plagueis (very good book by the way). And he didn't find palpatine til he was like 16 or 18. So in those short years of training with plagueis how was he able to over power yoda. Who is one of the most powerful jedi's ever. And with yoda having centuries of training and experience. How is it that a sith trained from late teens on, able to beat him? I'd love some input on this guys.

Palpatine was already strong with dark side power when found. He had been collecting Sith artifacts for a while. His power just honing. I would say that Palpatine is the sith equal to Yoda. Maybe even stronger, as the dark side has no checks on power as the light side does.

I haven't finished the book yet. Hard to find time in the days for everything I wanna do. But from the book, it said that did already have the power to cloak him being force sensitive from others, but that was it as far as powers. And he didn't start training with plagueis til very late teens. Meanwhile yoda still had a few centuries of practice and real time experience. But like you said, the dark side doesn't have checks like the light side. Guess it goes to show, the light sides weaknesses even for one such as yoda. Still a lil hard to wrap my head around though. Thnx for your input bud!
